Review: Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (Limited Edition) Chilled Espresso Beverage

Hey there, folks! It seems like I’ve been doing a lot of reviews lately huh? I hope you’re not getting bored of my product reviews yet šŸ™‚ Anyway, you might’ve already guessed by now that PSL pretty much runs my life during fall season. A few days ago, I had reviewed two Tazo latte concentrates that I thought were pretty disappointing, so I was very excited when I saw that my local Target had a limited edition Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte Chilled Espresso Beverage sitting right in front of me in the refrigerated food aisle! This was the first time I ever saw this, so you could only imagine how surprised and ecstatic I was! I felt like a kid in a candy store! So many things were running through my head … like, “OMG! OMG! OMG!”, “Is this forreal?”, “Will this really taste legit?”, “Did I finally found my happily ever after?” … Well, let’s find out!

PSL

By the way, they have individual sized bottles available too.  Those, however, were not located inside the fridge, but rather, they were sitting in room temperature on one of the shelves near some baked pumpkin spice flavor treats. Anyway, as you can see … This bottle just screams PSL! PSL! PSL! It’s sooo orange like a pumpkin. I get so happy by just lookin’ at it šŸ™‚ This bottle will obviously give you multiple servings. I forgot how much I paid for this, but I’m pretty sure it was under five bucks.

HEAT

Honestly, I am not a big fan of iced/frap PSL, so I actually measured 2 cups of this concoction and dumped it into a small pan and heated it in low-medium temp. The directions didn’t tell me to add any milk, whatsoever … So, I didn’t add anything. I waited for it to reach SLIGHT boiling point, then I turned off my stove. It only took about 8-10 mins, so it wasn’t that much of a wait.

YUM

Next, I transferred it to my handy dandy stainless steel insulated travel mug, so I can bring it with me to work and skip that Starbucks run! I love being able to save time and money … Life is so much easier when you find inexpensive and quality products that work, am I right?

TO GO

So, what’s the verdict? I liked it a lot! Honestly, it tastes almost identical to the one you would order fresh at a Starbucks store. Of course, having freshly made coffee is still better than a ready-made-chilled variety … But it is cheap, delicious, and super convenient, so it is a great alternative if you want to save money and time, especially, if you’re on a tight budget and schedule like I am! In a nutshell, I give this Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte Chilled Espresso Beverage a 4 out of 5 “stars” and here’s why:

PROS:

  • It is inexpensive
  • It gives you multiple servings per bottle
  • It is convenient and easy
  • It is accessible at any Target store
  • Tastes identical to the one you would buy fresh from your local Starbucks
  • You can serve it either chilled over iced, frappe style, or hot
  • It will satisfy your PSL cravings

CONS:

  • It is limited edition
  • You will definitely get addicted

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my review of the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte Chilled Espresso Beverage. Unfortunately, it is limited edition, so I suggest you try it out now if you haven’t yet! This “Pumpkin Spice Everything” season doesn’t last that long, so indulge in anything and everything PSL as much as you can! Well, at least that’s my motto at the moment! If you’ve tried this one before, I want to know your thoughts about it. Did you like it? If you did, great! If you didn’t … Why not? Promise, I won’t get offended šŸ™‚ I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far and thank you so much for stopping by! Until next time …

Yours truly,

Ana
