San Diego, Ca: Imperial Beach

Hey there! Happy first of October and happy Saturday too! Since it is almost the end of restaurant week, we decided to participate and had lunch at Sea 180 Coastal Tavern in Imperial Beach. We had 1 drink each (I actually had a mocktail to be on the safe side, but I still #pumpanddump just in case) before our main entree, but we decided to skip their complementary dessert. We were way too full to have dessert afterwards! (Although, I must admit … I regretted skipping dessert an hour later!) The food was good and we sat outside at the patio with the view of the ocean and pier. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a great “date” place in Imperial Beach. Even though we sat by the fire pit, it wasn’t turned on yet … Perhaps because it was still bright out? Hmm, oh well. It’s not a big deal, really.

Afterwards, we went for a walk at the pier. The ocean breeze felt nice and the weather too. It was sunny but the temperature was on the cooler side … Perfect San Diego weather. There was a lot of surfers today! It was fun watching them catch some waves. How I miss boogie boarding in the summer! Also, it seemed like there was an event going on because they set up a stage in the grassy area across the pier, but we didn’t stay long enough to see what that was about …

I can’t remember the last time we were at IB. We don’t normally visit this place much because I feel like it gets overshadowed by it’s neighbor, Coronado Island. As far as I can remember, it still looks the same as before, except now there is a lot of construction going on and I noticed new buildings here and there. Nevertheless, we had a great time!

Yours truly,

Ana
